Emerging in 2023 from Kansas City, Missouri, Lauren Lovelle and The Midnight Spliffs are lighting up the country music scene. The music is crafted with raw, poignant lyricism, driven by the songstress’ captivating vocals, while grounded in the band’s flirtatious twists on classic country.

The band delivers romantic old time waltzes of Patsy Cline, Outlaw era two-stepping crowd pleasers of Haggard and Jennings, and 1980’s cowboy tunes of George Strait — but Lovelle’s original songs are a fresh blend of folk, indie, and cosmic country appealing to fans of Sierra Ferrell, Kacey Musgraves, Phoebe Bridgers, and Esther Rose.

Lauren Lovelle has supported Gin Blossoms, Chely Wright, Chaparelle, Todd Day Wait, The Local Honeys, Dylan Earl, and Hembree.

Lovelle released debut single “Anxiously Attached” in June of 2025, receiving over 40k streams, and her debut EP “Other Dreams” followed in September. Lovelle was featured in Kansas City’s “The Pitch” magazine, also receiving coverage from Ones To Watch, The Bluegrass Situation. Lovelle’s honky tonk tunes were placed in editorial playlists including No Depression’s “Best of September 2025” Playlist, and NPR’sNew Music Friday” playlist. In 2025 the group played Kansas City music festival, Boulevardia, Camp Leavenworth, and Alternating Currents in Davenport, IA.

Lauren Lovelle and The Midnight Spliffs take audiences on an a musical rollercoaster that much resembles life; exploring the joyous peaks and weary depths — leaving crowds laughing, crying, and dancing.
